About Us
Based in the Staffordshire Moorlands, the stud was founded by myself and my parents back in 1980.
The stud takes it's name from the first pony our family owned 'Pioneer Boy'
'Boy' was the beginning of our love affair with horses.
Showing, Show Jumping, Cross Country Events, Dressage & Driving, he did it all and so did we and as time went by our horse family grew and grew.
We are a small private stud which is now run by myself along with my partner and the occasional help of few good friends.

As a rule, we breed a couple of foals per year, mainly for our own enjoyment and as breeding replacements.
Sadly we cannot realistically retain or produce every foal that we breed and we do not retain colts, so one or two will usually at some point be available for sale.
Our youngsters are allowed to mature slowly, developing strong bones and natural muscle tone on the undulating hills of the Staffordshire Moorlands .
Older Youngstock may have been lightly shown and we continue to do well in the Show Ring at Gradings and at Youngstock Evaluations.
Our focus however will always be on the socialisation and training of our horses to make their eventual transition to riding / competition horse easier, for us being well placed and winning rosettes in whichever discipline is an added bonus and not a necessity.
